Once you have picked a location, day and time for your meetings, it is very important to inform the Midwest Region and World Service Office. You can notify the region by filling out a Contact Us form on their website at – Midwest Region – Contact Us
You can register your new meeting with the World Service Office at – Submit a Group
The Midwest Region will provide new groups with basic Nar-Anon Literature to help defray some of the startup costs. They will also provide you contact information for other groups in your area or state that you can use as a resource when challenges arise. Another advantage of being a part of the region is that various Nar-Anon communications will be forwarded to you as they are sent out. You will also be able to participate in the monthly GSR Conference Calls that will allow your group to have input into how the Midwest Region conducts its affairs. You will also have representation through a Delegate at the World Conference plus other WSO committees.
The World Service Office (WSO) and its website can provide many resources – Nar-Anon Literature, Outreach materials, ‘Serenity Connection’ newsletters, minutes of various meetings, meeting locations worldwide, etc.
