Financial Considerations

Nar-Anon Literature will need to be purchased prior to your first meeting.  Some of these are: New Group Packet, Newcomer Packets, Blue Books, SESH Books, etc.  Quantities of each should be held to a minimum until your membership grows.  These materials can be purchased through the WSO website – WSO Literature

Newcomer Packets are normally given to new members but Blue Book and SESH Book costs can be recovered from sales to members.

Costs associated with the printing of meeting flyers should also be considered – these are discussed more under ‘Getting the Word Out to the Public’.

Other costs to consider include making a donation or rental cost for the meeting room.  As discussed in the previous section, if possible, try to avoid a rental type agreement with the facility providing meeting space.  This cost can seem insurmountable if your meeting doesn’t draw large numbers.  Some groups donate a certain portion of what they take in at meetings.
